Though well-versed in conventional building techniques, AWARE Architecture always strives to weave innovative and alternative methods in to each design opportunity. When conventional materials are used, we use them as efficiently as possible.

Our projects have enabled us to work with many natural materials such as strawbale, rammed earth, scoria-lavacrete, earth plasters, adobe, stone, and bamboo. Every site is unique; much effort is given to resource mapping and choosing the most appropriate material for each location.

With so many new innovations in building technology today, education is paramount. At AWARE, we continually conduct extensive, on-going research to expand our knowledge in sustainable building techniques, materials, and systems.
